Mr. Ladd Johnson, the NAGA Executive Director, began his duties February 1, 2008. Ladd, President of Ladd Johnson and Associates, is a wildlife and waterfowl consultant specializing in the design of waterfowl and wildlife habitat having designed over 2 million acres of waterfowl and wildlife habitat which encompassed flooded crops and plantings, dike construction, soil fertility evaluations, rearing and releasing free-flying waterfowl and game birds in North America, South America, and Europe. He is considered an expert on waterfowl behavior and as such acts as an expert witness on wildlife and waterfowl issues in Congress, state legislatures and Federal and state courts.
He is the administrator of a Conservation Seed Program, recommending and distributing seed to be planted for wildlife and waterfowl on over 2 million acres annually. He distributes out-of-date seed for Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Garrison & Townsend, Mycogen Seeds and other seed companies.
Ladd is also the Chair of the Migratory Bird Advisory Commission in the State of Maryland, an advisory commission to the Department of Natural Resources of the State of Maryland on regulatory and management of migratory birds in the State of Maryland.
He has authored papers on wildlife behavior, regulations and habitat requirements for magazines, periodicals and newspapers
He is also a consultant on environmental issues. His clientele include DuPont Corporation, North American Gamebird Association, State Departments of Natural Resources, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Dow Chemical, Quail Unlimited and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus.

Naga Legal Council
The Legal Counsel to the North American Gamebird Association (NAGA) and the North American Gamebird Foundation (NAGF) is responsible for responding to legal inquiries made from the Board of Directors for the benefit of the members. The Legal Counsel also makes recommendations to the Board on legal matters regarding the bylaws and general activities of NAGA and NAGF. Additionally the Legal Counsel monitors and makes appropriate recommendations to the Board on federal, state and local, legislation and regulation including the submission of formal comment and testimony; and general participation in the activities of the NAGA and NAGF.
