Benefits

What is NAGA doing for you today?

  1. You are getting NAGA News on a regular basis filled with activities of NAGA and information on our industry.
  2. NAGA will fund a two-year coccidia research project with Dr. Larry McDougald at the University of Georgia that hopefully will result in a coccidia vaccine.
  3. NAGA is working to identify and join forces with as many other state and national organizations as possible that share our conservation and hunting beliefs. Only by working together can we effectively move forward.

Please note YOU are important in all these activities. You can contribute articles for the NAGA News. You can contribute the bedding samples necessary for the coccidia research. You can alert us of potential legislation or rulings in your state that will affect your operation; legislation or ruling that need either defeated or supported. You can tell us of organizations with which you feel we need to cooperate.

NAGA is your organization. The more active you are the more effective NAGA can be. For those of you that have given us your email addresses, you have received emails from NAGA concerning issues affecting your state or issues for which we need your help. The most recent email was a survey of the best times for our convention and topics of interest for future conventions. We will continue contacting you with information or questions. If you did not receive a convention survey, send your name and email address to laddjohnson@verizon.net.

We have various standing committees comprised of board and non board members. We invite you to become involved in these board committees. None of the committees require face-to-face meetings. All business is conducted by conference calls paid for by NAGA. How much work is involved for a committee? It depends on how active you are and how much you will try to accomplish but probably three to six conference calls per year. We invite your participation. All that we ask of you is that you phone the NAGA office or one of the board members. Ask a few questions and make up your own mind if you want to become more involved in NAGA…. or do you want someone else to do the work for you?

Thank you for your time for this tremendous industry of ours. I am very excited about the year ahead…
